The Mission of the Dallas Defenders Football Club is to provide monetary support to families of police officers and fire fighters that were killed in the line of duty in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, to raise funds to benefit the youth in our surrounding communities of the Dallas / Fort Worth area and increase community awareness in sports in order to deter youth from gangs .  The Dallas Defenders are proud partners with the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas.         The Dallas Defenders Football Club is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  The Defenders are a member of the National Public Safety Football League and American Football Association.  The NPSFL consists of 25 teams from all over the United States.   The football season begins in March and ends in June of each year. All full-time Police Officers, Firefighters and Detention Officers (TCLEOSE Certified) are welcome to tryout for a roster spot on the team.    The team is always looking for additional players.  You do not have to be a public safety official to be a member of the coach staff, support staff or volunteer.    The Dallas Defenders Football Club completed their second year in the National Public Safety Football League.  The Defenders finished the 2010 regular season with a 4 - 0 record.  They defeated the Houston Gunners 30 - 0 and Central Texas Wolf Pack 28 - 12 to win the "Best in Texas" trophy for the second year in a row.   The Defenders defeated the 2009 Division II Champions, the Bakersfield Falcons in Bakersfield 36 - 18 and the 2009 Division II Championship Finalists, the Charlotte Cobras 18 - 14 in Frisco.   The Defenders are the 2010 Southwest Conference Champions.  The Defenders lost their only game of the year at the National Championship to the Phoenix Thunder in Arizona.     The team's charitable mission makes sponsorship and support from the local community a crucial need.   All proceeds from games and other outreach efforts are set aside for charity.  If you or someone you know would be interested in playing, coaching, volunteering for our support staff, or sponsoring our organization please contact either Head Coach Jeff Price at DallasDefenders@yahoo.com or our President, Marc Courville at DallasDefendersFootball@yahoo.com or (469) 877-9517 for more information.
